Nashik, 8 December, 2018: Dr. Suresh S. Honnappagol, Animal Husbandry Commissioner, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, New Delhi inaugurated the Third “Conclave on Cryogenics”, organized by Business Group (Cryogenics), Marketing Division, Indian Oil Corporation Limited at Nashik.
Chief Executive Officers of Livestock Development Boards from various States from all over the country and Senior Officials from NGOs such as BAIF, JK Trust, Specialists in the field of Artificial Insemination/Animal Husbandry have participated in the Conclave with the theme as “Cryogenics – Meeting Challenges in Artificial Insemination”.
While exhorting the Veterinarians to adopt right practices & procedures in Artificial Insemination, Dr. Honnappagol elaborated the extensive government funding through National Dairy Plan to help improve Milk yield for poverty alleviation in Dairy Farmers.
CEOs from Uttar Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Telangana, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Kerala, Chattisgarh, Rajasthan and Senior Officials other States have deliberated on role of Cryogenics in meeting challenges of Artificial Insemination and exchanged ideas for Productivity improvement.
Speaking at the Conclave, Prof. Dr. Milind Atrey, IIT Bombay, Mumbai emphasized on advantages of use of high quality of Multi Layer Super Insulation (MLSI) a special insulation technology for manufacturing of Cryogenic Containers. He also reiterated that use of this sophisticated Insulation will minimize Liquid Nitrogen consumption and effective in preserving precious Biological specimens.
Indian Oil is the largest manufacturer of Cryogenic Containers with over 85% Market share in India having envious brand image across all the States. Recently, Indian Oil launched 500 ml Cryocan, an innovative product to cater specialized needs of Inseminators, especially in remote & hilly regions. This product has already gained popularity amongst Animal Husbandry & Livestock Development Boards and large orders have already been secured.
