Four Day Bhopal Vigyan Mela To Be Held At BHEL Dussehra Ground From 13th September
Bhopal, 11 September 2019: The 8th Bhopal Vigyan Mela 2019, a science and technology fair, being organized by CSIR-AMPRI, Vigyan Prasar, AICTE & Vigyan Bharti will be held at BHEL Dussehra ground between 13 and 16 September. This four day fair will witness knowledge and fun activities such as display of science and technology models, science quiz, scientific seminars, screening of science films, science drama, debate, student-scientists interaction, skill workshops, award ceremony and cultural programmes. There will be theme based pavilions wherein public and private sector organizations will showcase local, regional, national and global developments in the field of science and technology.
Director CSIR Bhopal, Dr Avnish Kumar Srivastava informed about this Vigyan Mela at a press conference held today. He further informed that the formal inauguration will be done by Governor of Madhya Pradesh Lal Ji Tondon. Minister of science and technology Govt of MP, P C Sharma and Director General CSIR New Delhi Dr. Shekhar C Mande will also grace the inauguration ceremony with their presence. He further stated that more than 100 stall by government and non government departments will be their in the fair.
He also informed that the famous scientist and mission director Mission Shakti, DRDO, Government of India Dr. U Rajababu, will also be honoured. Under the leadership of Shri Rajababu, India has deleveloped and achieved the capability to hit the satellite with a missile. India is the fourth country to achieve this capability after USA, Russia and China.
In this press conference Professor Sudhir Singh Bhadauria, Rajiv Gandhi University of Technology said that Bhopal Vigyan Mela based on science and technology is being organized continuously since 2012. The objective of this fair is to aware and introduce common man about the letest developments in the field of science and technology on Local, regional, national and global level. In this Vigyan Mela, Well-known institutions of the country continuously shares their significant contribution in development in the field of science and technology. This is the key reason that why people like this event every year and a large number of people gathers to see the latest innovation from science and new experiments. Apart of common people, researchers, bureaucrats, policy Maker, Science Practitioner, Manufacturer and Social Worker also take part in this event.
The organizing committee secretary Dr J.P. Shukla also informed in press conference organized here on Tuesday that various theme based pavilions can be seen in this year’s Mela such as – Technology Demonstration Pavilion, Handicraft Pavilion, Health Pavilion, Agri-Tech Pavilion as well as pavilions where visitor can access the details about Government’s and event related ongoing further plans . There will also be a special pavilion for labs, CSIR, DST etc can be seen in this Mela.
A special program ‘Jan-Jan ke liye Vigyan’ (Science for everyone) will also be organized for children, women and senior citizens during the fest, In which everyone will be told about the use of science in everyday life. These time special sessions are also being held on Spirituality and Scientific Expression of Superstations in Vigyan Mela.
During the fest, Scientists and students from the state will also be honored for their excellent work in the field of science and technology. Along with this, through the interaction sessions between students and dignitaries will also be held to deliver various development technologies to the students in an easy way which will encourage innovation.
Along with all this, Science Talent Award, Expo Award for Best Stall, Technical Session and Cultural Programs, Student Startup Summit, skill development, curiosity etc. will also be the main attraction of the fair.
